As a Group Claims Assessor, you will play a crucial role in providing fair and balanced claims decisions, adhering to industry guidelines and our client's Life philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

? Assess group protection claims, including Life, Death in Service Pensions, Critical Illness, and Income Protection.

? Make effective claims decisions, combining speed and quality with the right supporting evidence.

? Communicate professionally with customers, intermediaries, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

? Gather necessary information, explain claims requirements and decisions, and resolve appeals and complaints.

? Foster and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and service providers.

? Contribute ideas for continuous process improvement, challenging the status quo and driving innovation.

? Collaborate with other teams within our client's organisation, such as Individual Claim Assessors, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Client Services, to enhance best practises.

What We're Looking For:

?? Proven experience and expertise in Group Protection claims, particularly Income Protection (essential) and Critical Illness (desirable).

?? Strong decision-making skills and the ability to effectively manage risks.

?? Excellent communication skills with the capability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

?? Ability to train, coach, and support less experienced team members and Client Services.

?? Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development within the insurance industry.
