Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: North-West Province, South Africa

Company: a leading Agriculture and Food Manufacturing company in the region, committed to sustainable practices and innovation in the agricultural and FMCG sectors.

Overview:

As the Group CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and strategies of the company. Your role will be pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth objectives in the dynamic Agri and Food Manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership:

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.

Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to the executive team and board of directors.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring financial performance against targets.

Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Risk Management:

Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.

Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigating actions.

Capital Management:

Manage capital allocation, investment decisions, and financing strategies.

Evaluate investment opportunities and potential acquisitions.

Team Leadership:

Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Mentor and develop finance professionals within the organization.

Requirements:

Qualified CA(SA) with a minimum of 10+ years of post-qualification experience.

Previous experience in the Agri and Food Manufacturing sectors, preferably within an FMCG environment.

Proven track record in financial leadership roles, demonstrating strategic thinking and strong business acumen.

In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.

Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
