About You

Professionally qualified (ACA or ACCA), through an accountancy practice, you will have experience with consolidating Group accounts and comfortable with Group company structures.

It would be advantageous if you have experience of working with growing businesses in the manufacturing sector.

The Role

The role will be broad, with exposure to multiple business functions across several geographic locations, we are looking for someone who can drive improvements across the business. 

Reporting

  • Collation and review of management accounts from the Group subsidiaries and preparation of monthly consolidated Group results.
  • Production of Group monthly board and management packs
  • Assist with the preparation of the Group statutory accounts.
  • Liaison with external auditors.
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the group subsidiaries and correct where needed.

Analysis/Insights/Commercial

  • Financial analysis and project work – partnering with business functions to drive financial insights, process improvements and more efficient working practices.
  • Working capital analysis/cashflow monitoring and forecasting.
  • Building out company databook.

Controls

  • Development of Group accounting policies and processes in conjunction with the Group Financial Controller.
  • Responsible for assisting in the continued development of corporate governance procedures, risk management process and developing further the internal controls framework of the Group.
  • Review internal controls for consistency and to ensure controls are being followed by employees across the Group.
  • Continuously review the effectiveness of current operations, striving to identify improvements to current processes.

Skills Required

Required Attributes

  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Proactive approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience in IT systems and system improvements.
  • Advanced level Excel.
  • Ability to clearly summarise large datasets.

Desirable Experience

  • Oracle NetSuite software.
  • Big 6 experience.
  • Knowledge of audit processes.
  • Due Diligence experience.
