We have a new role on with an international business who are looking for a Group Accountant to join their London office. They are an engineering/infrastructure/consultancy group with revenues nearing £500m globally, this is a very technical role, reporting directly to the FD where you’ll be responsible for group consolidations/compliance/financial statements/lead on audit.
Responsibilities
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of our subsidiaries in Germany and abroad in accordance with national and international accounting standards
- Preparation of the consolidated financial statements in the consolidation tool including the implementation of all consolidation steps
- Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and compliance requirements
- Participation in various special projects, including M+A transactions, post-merger integrations, ERP landscape optimisation projects and other digitalisation projects
Profile
- Professional qualification in accounting (ACA/ACCA)
- 3-5 + years of professional experience in group accounting
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP)
- Very good knowledge of German (desirable) and English
