Group Accountant

Element Recruitment are delighted to be working with a market leading, global business based in Gloucestershire as they look for a qualified and progressive accountant to join their business at an exciting time of change and growth.

As a key member of the Group finance team, working closely with the Group Financial Controller and other key associated stakeholders, this role will take the lead on external financial reporting matters, responsible for half year and year end consolidated accounts, internal management reporting, delivering group management accounts, variance analysis, budgets and forecasts as well as positively contributing towards the business transformation agenda for finance across process, controls and systems.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a technical mindset with either experience of performing group consolidation accounting within UK GAAP(FRS101/102) / IFRS or experience of auditing complex businesses through working for an accounting firm. You will consider yourself to be an ambitious individual who constantly strives for improvement and efficiency and have strong analytical skills, demonstrable across business intelligence software tools or Microsoft Excel. You will also consider yourself to be a confident business partner, with an ability to positively influence across key stakeholders across the business both inside and outside of finance. This role will also provide the opportunity to travel, with international sites requiring face to face interaction during audit periods.

This business are operating a hybrid working model, of 3 days per week in the office.
