Group Accountant 6 Month FTC
My client based in Cambridge are seeking a Group Accountant to join them in a 6 month FTC (this may extend), based on skills, experience and qualification the salary is up to £60k. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office each week.
Reporting to the Group Accountant Lead, this role will be responsible for key bookkeeping activities with the UK and US entities in the group, working with other Finance team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of our books and records whilst adhering to internal reporting deadlines.
Experience of lease accounting would be really beneficial and exposure to European activities would also help.
Responsibilities
Complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Group deadlines and specifications
Oversee the preparation and review of indirect tax returns for our UK business
Perform bank reconciliations in the ERP on a daily basis
Work with Accounts Payable and to ensure that costs are captured in an accurate and timely manner
Responsible for ensuring that all relevant accounting entries are captured in line with the Group month-end timetable
Other accounting tasks and activities as determined from time to time?
You'll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Group Accountant remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.
About you
- Understanding of Reporting Frameworks including IFRS
- Previous experience working with MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced organisation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to change
It would also be helpful if you have:
- Qualification preferred but not required if sufficient relevant experience
- Experience of Netsuite, or other similar ERP systems
