Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our company based in Bruton who are actively looking to recruit a Grounds Person to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for the maintenance of the Grounds and Gardens, ensuing the lawns are maintained to a high standard.

  • Carry out daily preparation and maintenance of sport pitches, to include, football, rugby, cricket, athletics.
  • Upkeep of all hard and synthetic surfaces, sweeping, blowing and overmarking.
  • Assist with repairing and replacing of fences.
  • Assist with the routine maintenance and washing down of machinery,
  • Carry out Chainsaw work as requested by the Director of Grounds.
  • Carry out general gardening tasks when required. Weeding, edging, planting, and leaf clearance

What you will need to succeed

  • Pesticide training - PA1 & PA6
  • Turf Management - Level 2
  • Conversant with machine operation instructions.
  • Ensure correct Protective Personal Clothing (PPE) is used.
  • Be fully aware of COSHH regulations when dealing with hazardous chemicals.

What you will receive in return:

  • Salary: to £26,000 per annum (DOE)
  • Monday to Friday 8 to 5 pm
  • 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays
  • Free parking
