Hunter Mason Consulting are looking to recruit an enthusiastic grounds keeper for an amazing client.

You will be working 40 hours per week with an unpaid lunch hour and 2 x 20 min paid breaks. Additional hours will be required throughout the year. Any additional hours worked attract additional payment and the timings are agreed in advance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain pitches and grounds to a high standard.
• Mowing
• Marking out pitches
• Preparing and maintaining soil
• General maintenance duties

Requirements:

• Experience of working as a ground’s person, gardener, pitch manager, grounds keeper or similar role
• Good general education including English and Maths
• Good working knowledge of health and safety
• Experience of working with horticultural machinery or similar
• Adaptability to changing hours and work in all weathers
• Physically fit with the ability to undertake moderate and occasional heavy lifting
• Interest in the work of the school and willingness to uphold Shiplake College’s aims and ethos
• Full Clean Driving license

Desirables:

• Qualification in grounds/turf management
• PA1 and PA6 Spraying certificate
• Chainsaw CS30 /31 qualification
• Health and safety qualifications

• Ability to drive a minibus
