As a Graphic Designer at RSM Marketing Agency, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs for both digital and print media. You will work closely with clients or project teams to understand their needs and deliver innovative solutions that effectively communicate their message. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, Figma, and Canva, and the ability to adapt designs for various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Salary: £35,000 per annum, plus bonus

Responsibilities:

Design Creation:

  • Working closely with clients and project teams to develop viable designs (working from either a verbal or written brief).
  • Develop visually compelling designs for digital and print media, including web/mobile, social media graphics, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, posters, and how to guides (and much more).
  • Optimise designs for digital platforms, considering factors such as screen size, resolution, file types and UX / UI. Create responsive designs that adapt to different devices and screen orientations.
  • Prepare print-ready files for production, ensuring accurate colour reproduction with correct formatting.
  • Collaborate with printers and vendors to oversee the printing process and ensure quality output. Ensure all designs are reviewed and approved for quality and accuracy prior to handover.
  • Manipulate and enhance images to align with design requirements. Use tools such as Adobe Photoshop to adjust colours, retouch photos, and create visual effects.
  • Keep up informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices.

Brand Guidelines:

  • Maintain brand consistency across all design materials, adhering to brand guidelines and visual identity standards. Ensure that designs reflect the brand's values and messaging.
  • Select appropriate fonts, typography, and layout techniques to enhance readability and visual appeal of designs. Ensure consistency in design elements across all materials.
  • Understanding limitations on different platforms, along with web/mobile accessibility.

Time Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines and deadlines. Prioritise tasks effectively
  • to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs using planning/task management systems like monday.com

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, or similar / in related field.
  • Minimum experience of 4 years in Graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital and print design projects.
  • Proven experience with creating engaging and impactful designs across multiple platforms and mediums.
  • Experienced in Canva, Figma, and Adobe Premiere Rush & After Effects would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and production techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency with web design principles and understanding with HTML/CSS.
  • Highly computer literate, with excellent Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

You will report to the Customer Service Director, and the working hours are 9-6pm. This is a hybrid role with at least 1 day a week on-site, at either the client site in Bolton or agency offices in Olney, or additional locations as required.
