Job Opportunities for Psychology and Criminology Graduates

Position: Graduate Teaching Assistants
Location: SEN Schools and Alternative Provisions in Croydon
Schedule: Full-time (5 days a week), 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Salary: £84-£100 per day

Empowering Learning is seeking passionate graduates in Psychology and Criminology to join our team in Croydon. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners with social and emotional mental health needs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children aged 11-16 with special needs such as ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and the ability to set clear boundaries.
- Utilize excellent behaviour management techniques.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students through comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields.
- Passion for working with young learners with social and emotional mental health needs.
- Desirable: Experience in youth work, youth support work, or with young offenders.
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service is essential.
