Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Salary: £85-£100 per day

Reed Education is looking for dedicated Psychology and Criminology graduates to join our team as Graduate Teaching Assistants in SEN Schools and Alternative Provisions in Bromley. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about supporting young learners with social and emotional mental health needs and are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to pupils aged 3-18 with special needs such as ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the individual needs of each student.
  • Apply compassion, empathy, and clear boundaries to manage behaviour effectively.
  • Utilise excellent behaviour management techniques to maintain a safe and productive classroom.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students by adhering to safeguarding procedures and promoting best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for working with young learners, particularly those with social and emotional mental health needs.
  • Desirable: Experience in youth work, youth support work, or with young offenders.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
