Role: Supporting Students in Mainstream Classes on a 1:1 Basis and in Small Groups

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic educational environment while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to students within mainstream classes, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, to enhance their learning experience and academic progress.
  • Assisting classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs, including those with behavioral difficulties or special educational needs, to promote their inclusion and participation in classroom activities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create and implement effective strategies and interventions to support student learning and well-being.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, and providing feedback to teachers and parents as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • A degree in education, psychology, or a related field (or currently working towards one).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and a genuine desire to support their educational journey.
  • Adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
