Graduate Teaching Assistant

Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and empathetic Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with students who have diverse needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional challenges. Your role will be instrumental in creating an inclusive classroom where every student can succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN during lessons.
- Behavioural Assistance: Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Collaborate with teachers to modify lesson plans and materials to meet individual student requirements.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Emotional Support: Foster a safe and supportive environment where students feel understood and valued.
- Inclusion Advocacy: Promote inclusion and celebrate diversity within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Psychology Background: A degree in psychology or related field.
- Empathy and Patience: Ability to connect with students and respond to their unique needs.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
