Graduate Primary School Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Croydon & Sutton 

Daily supply, short term, long term

Are you passionate about working with young learners and dedicated to making a positive impact on their education? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Graduate Primary School Teaching Assistants at REED Education. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Assist with planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities for primary school students.

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.

• Help students with their reading, writing, mathematics, and other subject areas as required.

• Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages students' personal and social development.

• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining discipline.

• Collaborate with the teaching team to assess student progress and provide feedback.

• Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in education, Early Childhood Studies, or a relevant field

• Experience working with primary school-aged children, either through previous teaching assistant roles, volunteering, or related activities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with young learners.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

• Organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic classroom environment.

• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

• A positive and proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration
