Graduate Tax Assistant

Are you seeking a tax role that offers exposure to Private Client Tax for a growing and prestigious accountancy firm based in London? Or maybe you currently in a role that isn't providing you with enough exposure to progress.

Due to continuous growth, they are now looking to add to their tax team who work on a diverse portfolio of complex clients ranging from private clients, owner managed businesses and groups of companies paying under the very large instalments regime. The focus will be on a blend of compliance and advisory services, with a view of advising clients in the future.

This role will be ideal for someone looking to start their ATT tax studies or someone who already has exposure to tax and looking to continue their studies.

Tax Assistant duties:

• Reporting directly to, and working closely with the partners on various tax compliance and advisory matters.
• Responsible for a diverse portfolio of corporate and private clients.
• Profit extraction, Group relief, large capital allowance claims, R&D claims and foreign tax credits.
• Advising clients on buying and selling a business, property transactions and business restructuring.
• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients to ensure compliance matters are dealt with effectively, including attending client meetings.

Tax Assistant requirements:

• Good foundation of knowledge within tax compliance or looking to develop within a role.
• You will be looking to start your ATT or currently studying towards its completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage deadlines.
