We are looking for a Sales Engineer on behalf of this established engineering business operating in the automotive industry.

As a Sales Engineer, you will help grow the business by supporting both the sales team and their customers with their hydrogen and electric vehicle projects. You will work with both UK and International customers, predominantly vehicle manufacturers building Electric, Hybrid & Fuel Cell vehicles in a rapidly growing and exciting market.

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: circa £25,000 (Depending on Experience) + commission

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is looking to work with technical products in a commercial role.
 
Do you have:
  • Experience in a professional B2B sales or sales support type role.
  • A client focussed individual with a ‘customer first’ mentality.
  • An interest in technical / engineering products
  • Strong face to face, telephone, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Commercial acumen and strong data skills.
  • Graduate – a STEM degree would be useful but is not essential.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products - knowledge of Business Central would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Experience using a CRM system.
Key Duties
  • Provide an excellent response to customer needs via phone, email and Teams meetings.
  • Proactively contact your accounts and build relationships with the customer base.
  • Present to customers, the benefits of products and services.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Meet sales targets whilst keeping customers engaged with products and services.
  • Understand differing customer behaviour and needs within customer types and upsell and cross sell to each one appropriately.
  • Prepare quotations and technical information and follow up.
  • Proactively contact recently lapsed accounts and reopen them.
  • Proactively contribute to lead generation with target customers.
  • Liaise internally with other team members to ensure that we are delivering value, maximising customer potential, and improving customer experience.
  • Maintain excellent standards of information in our CRM.
  • Work to the standards of Quality Management System & uphold company values.
