Jackson Hogg is partnered with an innovative technology business who are looking for a Graduate Physicist to join their team. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced physicists on a variety of research and development projects. The successful candidate will contribute to experimental design, data analysis, and scientific inquiry across various areas of physics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct experiments under the supervision of senior physicists, including setup, data collection, and analysis.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of experimental protocols and procedures.
  3. Perform mathematical modelling and simulation to support experimental design and data interpretation.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex scientific problems and develop innovative solutions.
  5. Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
  6. Document experimental procedures, results, and findings in technical reports and presentations.
  7. Stay updated on advancements in the field of physics through literature reviews, seminars, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in physics or related field.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental physics principles.
  • Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and scientific instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in mathematical modelling and simulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ is desirable.
