Job Outline:

Now is an exciting time to join a growing market leader in the design and manufactur of specialist optical components, lenses and systems, who is seeking a Graduate Optical Engineer to join their team.

As a recent graduate in Optics/Optical Design, you will be supporting my clients optical design activities using OpticStudio / Zemax, and as such you should have a strong understanding of both Optical Design, and optical production techniques.

Based at the development and manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire, you will become involved with design work in both optics and mechanics, as well as supporting assembly and testing activities.

As your product knowledge increases, you will also become involved in providing technical input to customer projects and advising on production / manufacturing methods.

In time, the role will also include occasional travel to customers to better understand and discuss their projects etc.

This is an exciting and varied role for a recent graduate, who is looking to build a career in the world of optics.

Experience:

It is expected that you will have a minimum of a degree or higher in Photonics/Optics/Physics or similar.
