I am working with a growing business who are recruiting for a New Product Development (NPD) Technologist to join their team.

As the successful candidate, you will have good mathematical skills including calculation of percentages, ratios and data recording. You will ideally hold a degree or equivalent in food science and ideally have a 1-2-years’ experience gained within a relevant role.

As part of your new role, you will manage several accounts, and internal projects, coordinating the development of products which meet both the company and customer requirements.

Duties will include:

  • Manage development projects from ideation through to industrialisation
  • Display a proactive and innovative approach in the development of products
  • Taking responsibility for several dedicated retail & branded accounts
  • Carry out idea generation prior to starting projects by translating briefs through kitchen and pilot plant work into viable products
  • Be the key development contact point to the customer accounts that you are managing
  • Maintaining close contact with the NPD manager, sales team, and the process team, to ensure clear communication throughout the process.

You will be a motivated, and dynamic person and must be capable of product development from concept through to launch with the ability to present your ideas in a clear and concise manner. This is a customer facing role, requiring you to be innovative, and to have excellent customer liaison and presentation skills.
