The role will suit graduates who seek the opportunity to be a design engineer. Applicants must have experience of 3D design using Solidworks design packages. You will ideally have a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent. If you have placement or work previous experience within a manufacturing environment you will have a considerable advantage. If you have previous experience within the plastic industry you are encouraged to apply. You must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and progress within your role.

The role will be working within a plastics manufacturer who produce bespoke products for the large automotive OEMs such as Jaguar Land Rover and McLaren. You will liaise with sales teams to understand customer requirements prior to designing products using Solidworks software. You will also work quite closely with production teams for sign off ahead of manufacture. In time, you will be customer facing and provide costings and BOMs for bespoke orders.
