THE ROLE:

You will assist Scientists in computer-based image analysis of histopathology sections to generate high-quality quantitative data for our clients. You will be working as part of a friendly, efficient, and collaborative team, and are expected to demonstrate excellent attention to detail combining your biology knowledge and computing skills. The role involves:

- Performing image analysis using state-of-the-art image analysis systems.

- Extracting and summarising data using Excel data spreadsheets.

- Graphing data and carrying out statistical analysis.

- Contributing to the generation of high-quality written data reports.

- Ensuring client image analysis study requirements are fully implemented through efficient communication methods including e-mail, teleconferences, online or face-to-face meetings.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant life science degree.

- Experience in pathology/histology would be beneficial.

- Experience in using image analysis software would be beneficial.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong application to perform tasks accurately to a high standard.

- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

LOCATION:

A hybrid of home working and the office, with a minimum of working two days per week (three days for the first 6 months of employment) office based at BioCity Glasgow where there is free car parking.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

- £23,000 - £30,000, dependent on experience.
