Graduate GIS Technician

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic graduate-level GIS Technician to work closely with the Director in developing their GIS system and fostering personal growth. This full-time Graduate GIS Technician remote/hybrid role is based in Wales and comes with a favourable salary and benefits package.

As a Graduate GIS Technician, you will have the opportunity for full autonomy to innovate within the role and elevate the system to new heights.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Independently developing new structures and systems within ArcGIS and implementing them for field workers using field maps on-site
  • This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of our GIS capabilities while growing professionally in a dynamic and supportive environment

To apply for this Graduate GIS Technician role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  • A relevant degree (e.g Geography, Surveying and Mapping, Geographic Information Science/GIS, Earth Sciences, Computer Science)
  • Prior experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous, particularly with Esri ArcGIS software or similar applications
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications are a plus
  • The ability to work independently and autonomously, demonstrating initiative and creativity in problem-solving.
