Graduate Electrical Engineer - Training in Renewable Energy

Are you an Electrical Engineering Graduate that is looking to advance a career within the Renewable Energy sector with a leading Scottish business that is one of the country's pioneers in the push to Net-Zero?

This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a large number of sites across Scotland. Now that they've established themselves as the leading producer of renewable fuels in Scotland, they're starting to go through the next phase of their growth which has seen them open up additional offices in London to support their growth into England as well as into other territories such as Europe and the USA. They are also beginning to expand into other areas of Renewable Energy such as Solar PV and Wind.

In this role you will be working closely alongside the company's Project team to support with the delivery of electrical projects at the company's operational sites as well as those being developed. You will train in and them play a crucial role in the design, scoping, management and monitoring of projects from inception to handover to the operations team, as well as liaising closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a HNC, HND or a Degree in Electrical Engineering and preferably will have gained some practical experience in Electrical Design work or Project Engineering.

This is a great position for a motivated and driven junior Electrical Engineer to kickstart their career by getting onboard with a well-known and leading player in Scotland's Renewable Energy market, where they can gain specialised industry training as well as further progression opportunities.

The role:
* Working with company leadership and projects team to support with project delivery
* Producing Electrical Designs & Drawings for site projects
* Forecasting and monitoring costs, advising on potential changes to predictions
* Assisting in development and implementation of commercial strategy for projects
* Monitoring project progress from inception to handover
* Working closely with H&S team to implement specific Quality plans & to monitor adherence to this
* Verifying commissioning progress and appropriate testing is witnessed prior to handover
* Continuous improvement work across sites

The person:
* Educated to at least HNC/HND level in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a Degree
* Experience producing Electrical Designs
* Knowledge of Power Transmission/Power Generation (advantageous)
* Knowledge of Renewable Energy technologies (advantageous)
* Full UK driving license
