As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by delivering pre-planned lesson content to students in the absence of their regular teacher. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that lessons run smoothly, managing student behaviour effectively, and providing support to students as needed. With the guidance and support of our experienced senior leadership and teaching team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills and become an engaging and effective educator. Candidates with experience as supply teachers are encouraged to apply, and can be assured that this Graduate Cover Supervisor role will see them working exclusively at this Sheffield secondary school, with no expectation to be sent to other institutions.

When there are no teacher absences for the Graduate Cover Supervisor to fill, they will be deployed in any available capacity at the school; perhaps as a TA, Academic Mentor or LSA. Furthermore, you will spend your downtime away from class assisting the teaching team with processes such as marking, lesson planning etc and may even be deployed to provide intervention with SEN students.
