My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Consultant to join a supportive team based in central Cardiff.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Modelling or Hydraulic Modelling and a keen interest in hydrology, hydraulic modelling and water quality.

Candidates are required to have a strong background in numeracy (preferably a strong A level or GCSE in Mathematics or Science) and an interest mathematics, data management and/or coding.

As a Graduate Consultant you will join a specialist flood risk team in Cardiff and receive excellent training to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications

-Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap

-Rainfall Analysis,

-Hydrology, Hydrogeological and Environmental Chapters for EIAs.

-Water Quality Assessments.

-Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build and Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.

-Hydrological and Hydrogeological modelling.

-Drainage Modelling using Causeway.

-GIS Mapping.

-Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications.

-Site visits for water monitoring.
