Graduate Chemist - Analytical Chemist

Our client is a well-established medical device organisation and currently is seeking to recruit an Analytical Chemist within their QC Department

responsibilities:

  • Sampling and testing incoming raw materials, in process and finished products according to in-house specifications and methods of analysis.
  • Perform routine laboratory analyses.
  • Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is qualified and calibrated regularly.
  • Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data.
  • Using a range of analytical techniques
  • Examine analytical data and report trends using statistical software.
  • Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and managing projects.

To be considered for this position you will need the following skills and experience.

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in chemistry or analytical chemistry.
  • Previous experience in an analytical laboratory as an Analytical Chemist.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisation skills, with a flexible approach and the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
