About the company:

This multidiscipline Property and Construction Consultancy are looking for a Graduate Architectural Engineer to join their large Winchester office of over 100 staff. With over 70 years of experience, 950 employees and 12 offices across the UK, this company provide many different services within the Built Environment such as Building Services Engineering, Sustainability & ESG, and Architecture.

Delivering expertise in a range of sectors including Defence & Security and Arts, Culture & Heritage, they have worked on huge projects in the UK, such as the RAF Museum in Hendon and the Queen Elizabeth School in Solihull, as well as big projects worldwide. With over 80% repeat business, you’ll never run out of new and exciting work.

As a Graduate Architectural Engineer, you will be part of a large and diverse team working together to bring innovative solutions for clients. They are committed to reducing their environmental impact by partnering with local businesses and resources, and have made their way up Building Magazine’s ‘Top 150 Consultants’ list.

Every day, you will be involved in assisting with the creation of mechanical drawings, specifications, and schedules for buildings using IES, AutoCAD, Revit and Hevacomp software, coordinating with other teams including sustainability consultants, and writing reports. You will work on prestigious projects from large industrial and commercial schemes with contract values over £30 million to smaller schemes, with the overall aim to minimise the carbon footprint and impact on the environment.

You will join a graduate scheme with CIBSE and be mentored by a Senior Engineer, which will support you in your progression and gaining chartership. This consultancy has many Senior and Principal Engineers who started off in the company as apprentices, which goes to show that progression is important to them!

You will be exposed to many sectors and many cultures working with interesting clients including large retail companies, local authorities, Schools/Universities, contractors, and developers. What they are looking for in the successful Graduate Architectural Engineer:
  • Architectural Engineering or Building Services specific degree - ideally master's.
  • Local to the Winchester area. Ideally not relocating.
  • Interest in construction and sustainability.
  • High quality oral and written communications.
  • Knowledge of Building Services.
  • Desire to work in Construction industry.
