Reed are currently working exclusively with a client who are a leading worldwide Quality Assurance provider, who are recruiting for a Business Development Tender Executive to join their Government and Trade Services Team. 

They have a network of more than 1,000 laboratories and offices in over 100 different countries, and deliver innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification services for their customer operations and supply chains. The Government and Trade Services team assists a number of governments, customs, and national standards organizations to improve the compliance of imports with safety standards, protect import duty revenues, and secure the international supply chain.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9amam-5pm (Mostly remote role, occasional time in the office)

Salary: up to £30-35k, dependant on experience, negotiable for the right candidate

Snapshot of Duties:

  • To work with the Government & Trade Services Tender Submission Manager and Strategic Control Manager, to support with the preparation of the tender submissions, monitoring of upcoming tenders, and collection of intelligence around new tenders and competitors.
  • Work with Tender Submission Manager to develop a process to monitor authority and other media websites in relation to the announcement of new tenders or ATIC opportunities.
  • Assist Tender Submission Manager in all stages of the preparation of tender submissions (EOI, RFP, ITB, etc.)
  • Assisting in the collection and maintenance of tender documents library to ensure documents are kept up to date for future tenders.
  • Contribute to special BD projects with research and technical input.
  • Assist Tender Submission Manager with the printing and packaging up of tender submission documents. 

Skills/ Experience required:

  • Previous experience working on Contracts and Tenders
  • Financial background is necessary
  • Ideally have knowledge of international standards
  • Ideally knowledge of import/export
  • Bilingual would be advantageous
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and get involved with many tasks to assist the Team
  • Proactive and energised mindset 
  • Motivated and results driven
