Job Description

The Guideline, Management & Control (GMC) is comprised of 3 departments: GMC Guidelines, GMC Monitoring and GMC Coding. These departments are instrumental to LGIM's investment governance and oversight processes. They collectively play a key role in defining firm wide standards, independent of geographic location and covering all investment strategies of LGIM and LGIMA. The Guideline function within GMC is responsible for drafting client guidelines which are then used for the origination and capturing of each client's requirements on a central database. The requirements are coded, where possible, into LGIM's Global Trade compliance platform (provided by Charles River Development) by GMC Coding team and where not possible, off-platform controls are created instead.
  • Create and Amend Guideline Documentation within strategic platforms (Prospectuses, Supplements, IMAs and other governing documentation) in line with client requirements
  • Interpret Guidelines from (Prospectuses, Supplements, IMAs and other governing documentation) ensuring these are captured in the Requirements Matrix
  • Peer review guidelines which have been Created and or Amended
  • Co-ordinate the Tripartite meetings, deputise as chair if/when required
  • Attend client meetings/calls if required, articulating how client objectives can be achieved within documentation and taking into consideration business constraints
  • Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders 7
  • Maintain existing processes and procedures' ensuring sufficient testing is carried out
Qualifications
  • Experience working with legal or official documents
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong academic background, Degree qualified (preferably 2.1) or equivalent, IMC or IO
  • Strong overall investment and product structure knowledge
  • Working in or with a range of asset management functions such as legal, compliance, risk functions, cash/collateral management performance
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and assist in the monitoring and assignment of the workflow for the team
