Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Glazing Technician for a Global Optical manufacturing business in Thornbury, Bristol BS35 3UW.
Due to location you must be able to drive if you live outside of Thornbury.
Hourly Rate: £12.84 per hour
Must be able to work the rotating shift pattern
0600-1400 and 1400-2200
The role involves the correct glazing of lenses against customer specifications to meet customer requirements within agreed customer delivery targets.
Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
* Verification of all lenses against ISO aspect standards
* Blocking of lenses against customer order requirements
* The cutting and sizing of lenses by the using edging machines from specific customer information
* To accurately fit and adjust lenses to customer frame
* Final inspection of the finished job against customer specification and within ISO aspect and CEN tolerances
* Cleaning of all tanks and machines using P.P.E provided
* Good housekeeping within the work place
* Prioritise specific work against customer delivery service schedules
Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge of glazing and edging equipment
* Rimless glazing experience
* Optical knowledge
* Knowledge of manufacturing process
* Good communication skills
