Geotechnical Design Engineer - Birmingham - £negotiable

My client is a well-established multi-disciplinary practise with offices situated across the whole of the UK carrying a staff of over 500. As result of a growing workload and plans for further expansion, this client are looking for Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team and carry on the good work at their Birmingham branch.

You will be joining a friendly and dynamic team to work on a wide range of projects including rail, residential, commercial and industrial. The successful candidate will be joining an extremely successful specialist practise with an excellent reputation and plans for further growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • planning site investigations (not under taking)
  • producing interpretive reports
  • designing of: earth works, slope stability and foundations

Needed qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant in degree e.g. Environmental sciences or Environmental Engineering
  • Relevant MSc e.g. Geology
  • Experience from a range of sectors including: rail, residential, industrial and commercial
  • Ability to work as a team player with good communication skills
  • Excellent report writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to travel to different sites
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
