Geography Teacher job in Rubery, £140-£200, long-term supply

This Secondary School based in South Birmingham is looking for a Geography Teacher to join the Department. Receiving a "GOOD" in their last Ofsted report, teachers at this school are committed to providing the best standard of teaching. The school ensures to promote a strong sense of community for its students as well as staff and parents. The school also believes that it is essential to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.

Your new role
As this is a long-term role starting on 8th April 2024, you will be required to:

• Plan and prepare Geography lessons for pupils in KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5 dependent on experience)
• Complete the marking and assessment of pupils' work, along with being involved with facility and department meetings.
• You will deliver these lessons in a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are progressing consistently and achieving target grades.
• Interest in outdoor education is a plus.
• Have a focus on keeping high expectations of students' attainment and behaviour.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must:

• Possess Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status
• Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary school. ECT's with Geography placement experience will be considered.
• You will possess excellent behaviour management skills.
• You will be keen to work as part of a team, share ideas and good practice.
• You will be available to start asap and continue on a long-term basis.
