Are you a Geography Teacher looking for your next full time role? Looking for a fixed term contract?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a Geography Teacher to fulfil a full time, fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) within a large secondary school in Farnborough. This is for the full academic year (2024-25) starting in September 2024.

As the Geography Teacher, you will be highly motivated and dedicated with a love for the subject to encourage all pupils to make progress within this subject, no matter their ability. You will be part of a strong Geography department which consistently achieves good outcomes, working alongside colleagues in the Humanities subjects. Geography is a very popular subject at GCSE and field trips are always a favourite for the pupils within the school. The department team work in a collaborative manner, running clubs for students in order for them to make excellent progress and enjoy the subject.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in the relevant subject

- Engaging, enthusiastic and motivating, whilst challenging the pupils in order for them to excel academically

- Relentlessly high expectations of both yourself and the pupils

- Willing to teach all year groups; year 7-11

- To make a positive contribution to both the department and the school

-Thorough knowledge of the GCSE subject curriculum

The salary for this role is currently set at ECT/MPR/UPR and is suitable for ECTs to apply.
