This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly capable General Manager with proven experience in both people management and HR coordination who is keen to be part of an organisation that makes a difference every day and to make 'great’, better.

As a community-focused not-for-profit organisation, our client is seeking an individual who will have the best interests of the staff and customers at the heart of their actions.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • Full accountability for the profitability for the organisation through driving top line revenue and maximising commercial performance of the business.
  • Effectively manage the Profit and Loss account of the club.
  • Full annual payroll & budget review, including customer pricing structure analysis and competitor pricing comparison review.
  • Daily management of employee workforce across all roles and departments.
  • Establishing and driving marketing strategies to raise organisational awareness within the community as well as operational success.
  • Accountability and Management for the full life cycle from recruitment to exit interview of all employees.
  • Establishing talent development through Appraisals, 1 to 1s, Personal Development Plans, objective setting, coaching, mentoring and performance management.
  • Rota management and payroll inputting.
  • Planning resources for the different activities throughout the day.
  • Employee relations case management, investigations / disciplinary action when required as per ACAS guidelines, ensuring all relevant documentation is compliant.
  • Working with Discipline Department Heads to achieve objective goals and monitoring staff training.

As the ideal candidate, you will have experience of working in a busy and strategic office management role. You will have a good understanding of Human Resources procedures and a keen eye for detail. Due to the breadth and variety of this role, you will be a flexible self-motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously and as part of the senior management team. Strong IT skills and competency in using the Microsoft Suite are essential.
