Job Scope:

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead and supervise the operations of a new service, taking full ownership of all aspects of this specialist neurodegeneration nursing care provision.

The General Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be working closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure the delivery of the company’s wider strategic agenda.

Building strong relationships with stakeholders as the clinical operation's leader, the General Manager will be responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, and responsiveness as well as optimizing occupancy, conducting thorough assessments, and maintaining high-quality, person-centered care.

As a General Manager collaborating with external professionals and families, you'll ensure evolving resident needs are met through comprehensive care plans. Additionally, you'll manage infection control, health, safety, and staffing levels, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.

Line management of clinical staff, budget management, and promoting effective team dynamics are crucial aspects of the role of the General Manager. Upholding the company core values and safeguarding vulnerable adults are paramount.

In addition to the core responsibilities outlined, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the neurodegenerative nursing care provision. This entails actively identifying areas for enhancement and implementing strategies to elevate the quality of care and operational efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders to promote a holistic approach to resident well-being.

Furthermore, the General Manager will spearhead initiatives to enhance staff development and engagement, promoting ongoing training opportunities and recognition programs. The General Manager will also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of neurodegenerative care provision.

Do you have?

  • Demonstrated experience with managing care homes for a minimum of 5 years, and minimum of 2 years of experience working with a similar resident group.
  • Experience in meeting targets and managing budgets, coupled with effective communication skills with colleagues, residents, and visitors, maintaining a positive attitude towards residents and commitment to provide stimulating, quality activities.
  • Experience in supporting residents with additional support/complex needs.
  • It is desirable to be a Registered nurse with current NMC registration and an active PIN.
  • It is desirable to possess a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care, desirable.
  • Driving License
