An exciting new opportunity has arisen with a global leading packaging Manufactures for an experienced General Maintenance Engineer to join an established team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities, with a focus on fabrication and welding.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
  • Responding promptly to call-outs and attending to breakdowns efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Performing preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrating a flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • 1 in 5 weeks On Call

Ideal Candidate

  • Fully apprentice trained or equivalent
  • Good level of Maths and English
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic and committed, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Manufacturing background
