Invigorate Recruitment is working with its client a mail order fashion business in Leeds to recruit a Garment Technologist to join the current QC department working on ladieswear.

Purpose of the Ladieswear Garment Technologist role

• To oversee the inspection of goods delivered to the business to ensure fair and consistent standards are applied in line with business priorities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Working on multiple products (specifically Ladieswear)
• To spec, fit and seal styles within the product ranges.
• Collaborating closely with suppliers to ensure tasks are completed in line with critical path dates.
• Check and approve branding/labelling on each style in line with brand definitions.
• Assess and sign off on wash test reports.
• Oversee inspection of deliveries on relevant styles and agree actions on any rectification work required.
• Collection and analysis of returns information
• Understand reasons for returns and take all possible commercial actions to improve performance.
• Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure smooth running of the day-to-day quality control function.

The Candidate:

• You will hold a degree in a related field and knowledge of pattern cutting and construction.
• Have impeccable time management and communication skills.
• Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook programmes.
• Organised and proactive way of working.
• Enthusiastic about product and product development.
