Gardener – Estates Operative

Reed Coventry are working closely with a Housing Association in Birmingham to appoint an experienced Gardener / Estates Operative to join during a busy period. This is a great opportunity to join one of the UK’s most trusted Social Housing providers.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to creating a pleasant outdoor space
  • Enhancing residents well-being
  • Tree management
  • Managing green infrastructure within Social Housing communities
  • Landscape management

To apply for this role, you must have the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 Minimum in relevant field is desirable
  • Must be numerate and literate
  • Knowledge and experience Grounds Maintenance, Gardening, Landscaping and Maintenance
  • Be comfortable to work around residents (must be professional at all times)
  • Past experience of working in Social Housing
  • High level of customer service
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety including lifting safely; working at heights and the use of PPE
  • Able to use digital devices
  • Able to use electronic and ride-on gardening equipment
  • Current and clean UK Driving License
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • PA1, PA6 and  banksman experience is desirable
  • Basic DBS – application will be completed by our Client

This role is temporarily up to 12 weeks with a possible extension.

Please note this role comes with a V2 size van (opportunity to take van home)

You can be expected to be paid £11.44 - £14.00 per hour depending on experience (Umbrella only)
