Furniture Design Draughtsperson

The role of the Draughtsperson is working as part of a small team where you will be producing accurate technical drawings for manufacture, taking design concepts, and developing them into full working drawings for manufacture. You will work closely and directly with the Project Managers and making teams on a variety of projects and create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for production on a variety of projects at any one time.

Skills and Experience needed from the Design Draughtsperson:

• Ideally combined experience as a cabinetmaker and then draughtsperson within the bespoke furniture industry
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and Rhino 3D (or other 3D Software)
• Experience in Inventor would also be helpful
• A working knowledge of traditional and contemporary construction processes
• Able to produce highly detailed technical drawings for production
• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to prioritising and organising work
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise workload from a variety of different sources
