Job Description:

Our client is seeking a passionate and driven Fundraising Manager to join their team on a part-time basis. The Fundraising Manager will play a vital role in securing funding to support the organization's growth and sustainability. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and writing funding applications, developing fundraising strategies, and reporting to the fundraising committee on activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Income Target: Work towards achieving the income target set by the CEO, with a target of £60,000 for the financial year, with £10,000 already secured.
  • Future Target: Collaborate with the CEO to set ambitious yet achievable targets for the 2025 budget.
  • Funding Applications: Research, identify, and apply for funding opportunities from a variety of sources, including grants, trusts, foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors.
  • Grant Writing: Prepare high-quality grant proposals and funding applications, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, objectives, and programs.
  • Fundraising Strategy: Assist the CEO in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet revenue targets and support the organization’s growth objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and other team members to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, track progress against targets, and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in fundraising, including data protection, ethical standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Fundraising Committee Attendance: Attend fundraising committee meetings for updates and reports as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in fundraising, grant writing, or related fields, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling proposals.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing funding from a variety of sources.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for the mission and values of our client, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
