A leading global asset manager are looking for a Fund Oversight & Operations Manager to join their team on a 12 month basis.


Fund Oversight & Operations Manager

Summary of Role Purpose:

  • Responsible for leading the delivery of TA related business, fund and regulatory change projects/initiatives from inception up to the successful transfer to the 'business as usual' (BAU) environment for UK, Guernsey Ireland and Luxembourg product ranges.
  • Support the successful day to day oversight and management of TA operational and investor servicing activities for Irish UCITS, Guernsey OEIC, Luxembourg SICAV, LDI and RAIF fund ranges.
  • Independently project manage a range of BAU and complex change initiatives, chairing and attending project working group meetings and representing the Fund Operations function as required.
  • Independently support strategic complex change delivery as a TA subject matter expert, delivering a high-quality service.
  • Work with internal departments to evaluate and implement business/fund change and new regulations in line with requirements.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies and cost saving opportunities, displaying exceptional relationship management skill.
  • Work closely with relevant TA contacts to ensure there is full awareness and their operating model can support the proposed change initiative.
  • Ensuring adequate internal/external procedures are established, documented and adhered to.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently project manage TA related Fund, Business and Regulatory change initiatives from inception to delivery.
  • Independently perform business analysis of change initiatives to fully understand and communicate the relevant impact in terms of operational delivery and cost
  • Contribute to effective day to day oversight of all TAs and their associated partners/affiliates;
  • Responsible for the documentation, analysis & prioritisation of requests received from internal or external stakeholders;
  • Have understanding of internal and regulatory announcements and updates that have an impact on TAs or the wider Asset Management lifecycle including new regulation
  • Assist in defining TA change requirements with relevant internal stakeholders, managing their expectations and ensuring they're accurately submitted to the impacted TA(s);
  • Manage the TAs to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of change requirements relating to specific initiatives and they're aware of and deliver on their actions;
  • Work with Head of Offshore TA & Fund Operations EMEA to accurately report resource capacity across the team;
  • Work with Fund Accounting colleagues to ensure there is a common understanding of change requirements and priorities, the teams are aligned, and best practice is applied
  • Attend and chair specific project committees and working groups with key internal stakeholders and/or the TAs for the appropriate project management maintenance
  • Provide post-delivery support to all end-users and update/maintain project procedures/checklists;
  • Engage with TA Oversight colleagues and other key stakeholders (where applicable) through the lifecycle of any change activities to ensure full awareness and understanding is achieved;
  • Ensure any TA Agreements, SLAs and KPIs are amended where applicable as a result of any change activity;
  • Ensure all internal/external project/change costs are approved in advance of initiating any change activity (where possible) and the costs are managed through to the completion of the project.
  • Maintain communication links with TA's, custodians, fund managers and other related business relationships;
  • Provide technical support and advice to various internal business areas;
  • Crisis management handling, reporting and escalation;


Additional information / required experience, knowledge, and qualifications:

  • Extensive EMEA Transfer Agency oversight and operational experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European fund structures and the associated regulations/legislation
  • Thorough understanding of the asset management lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and conflict management skills
  • Ability to independently deliver projects as requested, on time and within budget
  • Highly flexible and adaptive to change
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise appropriately, identifying team pressure points
