Fuel Oil Trader

A highly successful international gas and energy giant seeks a talented English speaking Fuel Oil Trader to join their international roster. You will be responsible for actively trading fuel oil, leveraging your existing network within European trading circles.Your primary focus will be on trading both physical and paper fuel oil products.

Type: Full time, permanent

Hours: 9am - 5pm

Location: Central London, hybrid working available

Salary: Up to £100k DOE

Visa: Visa Sponsorship can be provided to suitable candidates

Fuel Oil Trader Main Responsibilities:

  • Trading Expertise: Utilize your in-depth experience in trading fuel oil and ability to trade for both physical and paper products, ensuring strategic trades that result in profitable outcomes
  • Network Utilization: Leverage an established network among traders in Europe to facilitate trades and negotiations with counterparties, creating efficient and lucrative transactions
  • Profit Generation: Execute trades in alignment with the strategies and guidelines provided by the Singapore office to ensure profitable outcomes
  • Compliance and Approval: Adhere to company policies and seek prior approval when required, ensuring that all trading activities comply with regulatory standards and internal guidelines
  • Business Development: Occasionally engage in occasional business travel to meet counterparties, attend industry gatherings, and foster relationships to expand and enhance trading opportunities
  • Cargo Focus: Prioritize experience with Fuel Oil 'cargo' rather than 'bunker fuel', utilizing this expertise to inform and drive successful trading decisions

Fuel Oil Trader Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Fuel Oil Trader, with an extensive network among European trading counterparts
  • Ability to trade for both physical and paper fuel oil products.
  • Familiarity with trading practices in the fuel oil market and compliance with regulatory standards
  • A willingness to travel for business purposes and attend industry events
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Degree holder in Business or relevant disciplines
