A high-performing multi-billion dollar Hedge Fund is seeking a is seeking a Front Office Developer to join its London office to develop, enhance and support technology applications and processes required for the trading and portfolio management of derivative instruments. The Front Office Developer will participate in global weekly team meetings to review processes, task items and ad hoc projects.

The successful Front Office Developer will be self-motivated and possess superior customer service and communication skills. This Front Office Developer should be resourceful, organized, capable of working independently with limited direct oversight, and possess strong technical skills. The Front Office Developer will often interface directly with Traders and be asked to assist in issues such as reconciling valuation and risk. The Front Office Developer may also be asked to implement tactical solutions for market analysis, portfolio management, or operational optimizations.

Front Office Developer with strong coding skills and decent numerical analysis skills who would enjoy working on trading floor.

This Elite Hedge Fund is seeking a talented Rapid Application Developer to join their expanding team covering global trading.

Qualifications

  • Experience on the buy-side or sell-side developing trading, pricing or risk systems for interest rates and FX products;
  • Prior experience in a rapid application development (RAD) environment is preferred;
  • Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science or its equivalent is preferred;
  • Expertise in financial engineering, particularly pricing and risk analytics, is preferred;
  • Technical skills in C#, .Net, SQL Server, Python and/or C++ are required;
  • Experience working with Front Office and/or Risk staff is preferred;
  • Strong proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase;
  • Possess a passion for problem-solving and providing workable solutions;
  • Proactive individual that is willing and able to lead initiatives and work independently;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as sound judgement to escalate issues as appropriate; and,
  • Must be self-motivated and exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

This role offers a competitive base salary and a 50-100% bonus potential, with an office-based position in Central London and 4days in the office with 1 day working from home. More flexibility is on offer if needed.
