We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customs Coordinator based in Sale working for a worldwide freight forwarding company. With over 70 offices, 200 agents covering 5 continents we offer local expertise with global experience catering to each customer's specific transportation and logistics needs.

This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days home.
Your role of Senior Customs Coordinator to handle import customs clearances. In this position you will hold ultimate responsibility for the following duties / tasks:

- Provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients
- Handling Sea / Air and Road freight customs clearances.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import customs declarations
- Ensure correct payment of duty & VAT
- Manage the release of consignments at port
- All aspects of CDS & Customs Warehousing
- Manage post clearance action

Applying candidates will possess:

- Experience from working for a freight forwarder in a Customs/ imports role
- A broad understanding of the overall customs process
- Knowledge of Import Clearance systems, ideally CDS but any imports clearance skills are welcome Chief/ASM/CNS/Destin8/Boxtop
- Extensive knowledge of the customs tariff
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional IT skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
- Strong organisational & time management skills

Benefits
Salary £30,000 to £33,000 Flexibility for the right candidate
Pension
23 days holiday rising with length of service
Hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
