My clients a well established freight forwarder based within the Heathrow seeking professional and experienced Business development manager with Pharma/healthcare experience to join their Heathrow team.

Duties would include:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, ultimately looking to exceed area sales and gross profit and revenue targets
  • Preparation and calculation of RFQ’s/RFP’s as per customer request
  • To improve awareness of company brand in UK
  • Analysis of won, lost quotes and work with CSM to increase wins
  • To handle all Pharmaceutical Products including healthcare and medical devices compliantly, ensuring that all training and guidelines are adhered to without fail.
  • To ensure that only approved suppliers are used for all pharmaceutical shipments
  • Responsible for building and developing profitable relationships with all current and potential customers in the life science and healthcare vertical
  • Handling all pharmaceutical shipments in line with the customer requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate execution of commercial account strategy in partnership with product managers, marketing, and other internal teams

Skills needed:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • Confident to make telesales calls and cold calling
  • Industry knowledge of Freight
  • Proven track record in new business development
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Dynamic
  • PC literate
  • Solid understanding of pharma/healthcare vertical
