Commercial Finance Analyst | High growth retail | Salford | Up to £50,000 plus benefits

Axon Moore are excited to be yet again partnering with this high growth retail business who have aggressive growth plans in the coming years. You will be joining this business during an exciting period, as it aims to double the turnover in the next 24 months with the view of future PE investment.

This role will work within a team all placed by Axon Moore and will receive excellent mentorship and development. The position is ideally suited to a qualified accountant, who is comfortable in analysing large quantities of data and presenting MI to the Senior Leadership Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or finalist accountant to fast track your career in commercial finance. 

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation/review of the company budget, forecast and 3-year plan processes
  • Review financial results and provide detailed sales and margin variance analysis vs budgets/forecasts
  • Business partnering with cross-fincti6onal teams, supporting commercial decision making  by communicating MI to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Provide data driven insights to identify margin improvement opportunities through customer and product analysis
  • Provide insight and development of the accounts – drawing insight from data, helping the CFO and FC understand the drivers of performance
  • Ad-hoc reporting to support commercial finance, account teams and the wider business
The Person
  • CIMA or ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Strong character, good social skills and able to confident talk through the numbers in meetings
  • Results driven and detail oriented. Someone who can be trusted to deliver
  • A track record of driving process improvements and optimizing financial performance
  • Excellent stakeholder management ability, diplomatic, team player
