Foundry Melter

Adept Resourcing are delighted to be working with a very busy foundry based in the heart of Sheffield who supply into various industries who are now looking to recruit an experienced Melter to join their team.

SHIFTS - Monday - Friday DAYS ONLY

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain foundry equipment and machinery
- Monitor and control the melting process to ensure proper temperature and consistency
- Prepare moulds for casting by assembling and disassembling patterns
- Pour molten metal into moulds and remove finished castings
- Inspect castings for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS/KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous experience working in a foundry or similar manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in the casting process
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as required
