This company is a Cambridge Uni spin-out who are based in the heart of Cambridge's tech cluster, on the Science Park. Super-close to Cambridge North station and right beside the Guided Busway, this is a great opportunity for a Formulation Technician.

You'll be part of a friendly team who describe themselves as a family. We're looking for someone who thrives upon working in a collaborative environment - someone who wants to work on some really interesting technology!

The Role:

Working within the Formulation Chemistry lab, your role will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality materials into the wider team. It's a hands-on, production role, carrying out the following tasks:

  • Formulate material compounds
  • Validate materials
  • Troubleshoot any formulation issues to ensure continuous availability & suitability of products
  • Document production processes accurately
  • Produce customer-specific formulations
  • Test and record data, including analysis and reporting
  • Responsibility for providing production updates

About You:

  • Ideally a BSc in Materials Science / Chemistry or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrable experience documenting QC tests & specs
  • Experience of materials / chemical formulation in a lab based environment
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and plan your own workload
