Forklift Engineer- Field Based

Job Role: Field-Based Forklift Mechanic

Location: Brighton, West Sussex (accepting applications from surrounding counties)

Salary: £32,000-£35,000 base (OTE £40,000+) - paid door to door

Hours: Monday-Friday 08.00-17:00 + Door to Door Paid + Overtime @ 1.5x

The client:

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, growing Material Handling firm based in Brighton on their search for an electromechanical engineer to join their growing team. Our client offers materials Handling Equipment to clients all over the country and they are now looking for a field-based engineer to cover a 50-mile radius of Wellingborough.

The package:

· 33 days holiday including bank holidays

· Overtime available at 1.5X

The Duties:

· Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns.

· Collaborate with customers surrounding the lifting and handling products.

· The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.

· Actively travelling to sites and carrying out repairs of the equipment and creating solutions.

· Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

The Requirements:

· Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)

· Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)

· Previous experience working in the Forklift, Plant, HGV and/or Agricultural industries (advantageous)

· Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)

· Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)

· Full UK Drivers License
