Food Technology Teacher

  • Annual Salary: £27,000 - £45,000

Cromwell Community College is looking for a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our secondary school team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students in the field of food technology within a thriving technology department.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Foster a love for culinary arts and practical skills related to food preparation.
  • Contribute to the development of the technology curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student progress and achievement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching strategies and materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level is advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for Food Technology.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
